HC Deb 26 June 1905 vol 148 c70
MR. COGHILL (Stoke-upon-Trent)

To ask the Secretary of State for War whether his attention has been called to a petition from the Barbados House of Assembly, praying that a garrison of Imperial troops might continue to be stationed at Barbados; and whether he can see his way to give effect to the petition.

(Answered by Mr. Secretary Lyttelton.) The petition referred to by the hon. Member has been received and has been laid before the King, but His Majesty's Government regret to have found themselves unable to advise His Majesty to give effect to it.
