HC Deb 26 June 1905 vol 148 cc66-7
MR. REGINALD LUCAS (Portsmouth)

To ask the Secretary to the Admiralty whether he can state how many naval pensioners over the age of fifty-five, who signed for a second period of service before 29th June, 1878, are not yet in receipt of the first instalment of the age pension of 5d. a day.

(Answered by Mr. Pretyman.) It is regretted that this Question cannot be answered, as the details concerned are not recorded in the registers of the Department in a form enabling the information to be readily furnished. To make the requisite extracts a considerable amount of labour would be needed, and the work would occupy a period of about three weeks, for which extra clerical assistance would be required.
