§ MR. WEIR (Ross and Cromarty)I beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he is yet in a position to furnish information in regard to the reported discovery of smokeless coal at Jambongon on the north-east coast of the British North Borneo Company's territory.
§ EARL PERCYNo definite information in regard to the coal has yet been obtained. A telegram has recently been received from the engineer in charge of the works to say that samples have been sent home but that the excavations have not yet been completed.
