HC Deb 07 June 1905 vol 147 cc935-6
MR. PARTINGTON (Derbyshire, High Peak)

To ask the hon. Member for Chorley, as representing the First Commissioner of Works, whether the room to the north of the present library rooms is a portion of the accommodation originally set apart for Members of the House of Commons; whether the books therein form part of the library of the House of Commons; and whether arrangements to restore the use of the room to its original purpose can now be made.

(Answered by Lord Balcarres.) It is believed that the facts are as stated; but the First Commissioner is unable at present to say whether the suggestion of the hon. Member is practicable or not.
