CALDWELL (Lanarkshire, Mid)I beg to ask the Lord-Advocate whether the Scotch Education Department will consider the expediency of directing His Majesty's Inspectors of Schools to hold annually in every State-aided school an individual examination of all children on the school register of twelve years of age, with reference to their fitness to enter upon the supplementary course of instruction.
