HC Deb 07 June 1905 vol 147 c938
DR. AMBROSE (Mayo, W.)

To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether his attention has been called to the condition of the salmon weir and sluices on the Belclare River, near Westport, which runs though lands now the property of the Congested Districts Board; whether he is aware that owing to the sluices being kept down and the salmon gap closed the neighbouring lands are flooded for the greater part of the year; and whether he will see that the Board will set them right.

(Answered by Mr. Walter Long.) The Board have referred this matter to the Department of Agriculture, and the latter will have an inspection made as soon as possible.
