§ MR. MACVEAGHI bog to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether he Can state how many of the eighty-five threatening letters quoted in the recent Parliamentary Return of Outrages were anonymous; how many prosecutions followed; and how many convictions were obtained.
§ MR. WALTER LONGAll the letters were anonymous in the sense that to none was the genuine signature of the writer appended. Some were signed "Captain Moonlight," or some other assumed name. In no case was the offender made amenable.
