HC Deb 02 June 1905 vol 147 cc568-9
MR. HARDY (Kent, Ashford)

To ask the President of the Board of Agriculture whether, in view of the promises made at the time of the passing of the Agricultural Holdings Act, 1900, he can now undertake to introduce a Bill to consolidate the Agricultural Holdings Acts.

(Answered by Mr. Ailwyn Fellowes.) The suggestion of my hon. friend as to the advantage of a measure for the consolidation of the various legislative provisions embodied in the Agricultural Holdings Acts is one which has not been overlooked, and I am prepared to give it favourable consideration; but I am not in a position to say that it would be possible to introduce a Bill of this nature with much prospect of success during the course of the present session.
