HC Deb 01 June 1905 vol 147 c427
MR. WEIR

To ask the Secretary of State for India if he will cause inquiry to be made into the proceedings of Mr. Craven, the sub-divisional officer of Habigunj, Sylhet, Assam, in connection with a recent dispute between two zemindars, and to the strictures passed on his proceedings by the High Court.

(Answered by Mr. Secretary Brodrick.) I have no reason to suppose that the Local Government or the Government of India have not taken, or will not take, adequate notice of the case referred to in the Question, and I do not propose to order an inquiry.
