HC Deb 31 July 1905 vol 150 cc901-2
SIR MANCHERJEE BHOWNAG-GREE (Bethnal Green, N. E.)

To ask the Secretary of State for India whether he has received from the Government of India the Report of the results of their consideration on the subject of the separation of judicial and executive functions, which he called for in his despatch to that Government of March 10th last; and, if the Report is not yet received, will he, in view of the fact that the reform is urgently needed and has been under consideration for many years past, ask the Government to expedite the Report.

(Answered by Mr. Secretary Brodrick.) I have not yet received from the Government of India a reply to my despatch of March 10th last, in which I have already drawn the special attention of that Government to the matter. I do not think it necessary at present to take any further steps.
