HC Deb 31 July 1905 vol 150 cc948-9
MR. CHARLES DEVLIN (Galway)

I beg to ask the Secretary to the Treasury whether he is aware that on July 12th last a communication was sent to the Board of Works by the City of Galway Woollen Manufacturing Company, Limited, calling attention to the accumulation of loose stones and rubbish in the mill race, to the detriment of the company's mills; if so, what answer was sent by the Board of Works; whether a further communication was sent on July 25th on the same subject by the Board of Works; and, if so, what reply was sent, and what action was taken.

THE FINANCIAL SECRETARY OF THE TREASURY (Mr. VICTOR CAVENDISH, Derbyshire, W.)

The Board of Works have made arrangements to inspect again the alleged obstruction, and have written to the company to state that the inspection will take place shortly.
