HC Deb 27 July 1905 vol 150 c615
MR. J. P. FARRELL

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland, in view of the fact that the Irish Agricultural Department have in their service a number of Catholic gentlemen of ten years service and upwards and with salaries of less than £100 a year, and that other gentlemen of less than two years service in the Department received positions carrying salaries of from £200 to £350 a year, and whether, in view of the dissatisfaction in the Department and of the fact that local bodies have expressed the opinion that the facts require independent examination, he will give an opportunity for such independent examination at an early date; and, if not, what steps does he propose to take in the matter.

MR. WALTER LONG

I have nothing to add to my replies to the numerous Questions already addressed to me in this matter.
