HC Deb 13 July 1905 vol 149 c533
MR. AINSWORTH (Argyllshire)

To ask the Lord-Advocate whether he will consider the advisability of providing the funds required for the additional powers proposed to be conferred upon the Congested Districts Board by the Bill now before Parliament from sources other than the funds already allocated to the Board in connection with the duties imposed upon it by existing legislation.

(Answered by Mr. Scott Dickson.) If additional powers are conferred upon the Congested Districts Board and the funds at their disposal are found to be inadequate, the Secretary for Scotland will endeavour to obtain such addition to the income of the Board as may be shown to be requisite.
