HC Deb 10 July 1905 vol 149 c72
MR. TULLY (Leitrim, S.)

To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether he can state in how many cases on the King-Harman Estate-have the Estates Commissioners offered to purchase large grazing farms from the vendor as untenanted land; what are the names of the present occupiers of these farms, and what were their yearly rents before the sale of the estate; and whether he can give the amounts, including the bonus, which the Estates Commissioners have intimated through their inspector OT negotiator that they are prepared to advance to the vendor for each of these farms respectively as untenanted land.

(Answered by Mr. Walter Long.) I am not prepared to give any further information in this matter than that which I gave in reply to the hon. Member's Question of the 22nd May‡. It would be undesirable and contrary to practice to give particulars of pending negotiations for the purchase of lands by the Commissioners. ‡See (4) Debates, cxlvi., 952.
