HC Deb 10 July 1905 vol 149 cc87-8
MR. REDDY (King's County, Birr)

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland whether he can now say if the Land Commission have come to the conclusion that a larger sum than £500 can be advanced to Mr. Frend for the purchase of his holding, situated on the Derry M'Edmond Estate in therbaronyof Clonlish, King's County, formerly in the possession of Amos Palmer Doolan, without prejudice to the wants and circumstances of other persons residing in the neighbourhood, in view of the fact that these lands are surrounded by small holdings that it would be desirable to increase; and that the sons of small farmers in the neighbourhood are anxious for farms.

MR. WALTER LONG

The Commissioners have not yet come to a decision as to the amount of the advance to be made in this case.
