§ MR. SLOANI beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether his attention has been called to a disturbance which took place at a late hour in Marlborough Street, Dublin, on the 28th ultimo; if he can state the number of persons injured, and by whom; and whether, in view of the fact that Constables Watchorn (228C) and Keating (217C) of the Metropolitan Police are alleged to have been the aggressors, he will order an inquiry into the whole case.
§ MR. WALTER LONGThe Chief Commissioner of Police has already held an inquiry in this case, as a result of which he has called upon the two constables mentioned to resign, and they do not now belong to the force.
