To ask the Secretary of State for War what are the relative percentages of marksmen, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd class shots, among the trained soldiers of the following regiments, home battalions only, for the year 1904: Royal Scots, Royal Highlanders, Manchester Regiment, Devonshire Regiment, Royal Welsh Fusiliers, Royal Irish Rifles, Royal Munster Fusiliers, and of the 1st Grenadier Guards, 1st Scots Guards, 1st Coldstream Guards, and Irish Guards. For the period January to April, 1904, after which the battalion proceeded on foreign service.
