HC Deb 05 July 1905 vol 148 c1128
MR. JOSEPH DEVLIN (Kilkenny, N.)

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for India whether his attention has been called to the number of murders in connection with the Army in India during the past twelve months; and whether, in view of the rigidity of the discipline imposed upon the rank and file of the Army, any official inquiry will be made into the matter.

THE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR INDIA (Mr. BRODRICK, Surrey, Guildford)

I have had no report from India of a number of murders in connection with the Army during the past twelve months.
