HC Deb 04 July 1905 vol 148 c996
MR. BOLAND

I beg to ask the Postmaster-General whether he can now make any statement as to the proposed improvement in postal facilities, whereby letters may be delivered at Sneem at an earlier hour than is the case at present.

THE POSTMASTER-GENERAL (Lord STANLEY, Lancashire, Westhoughton)

As I informed the hon. Member by letter on the 28th ultimo, the mail car from Kenmare was on the average about twenty minutes late in arrival at Sneem during the month of May, the delay being due to the irregular running of the goods train which conveys the mails to Headford Junction. The attention of the railway company has been drawn to the matter, and I hope some improvement will result.
