HC Deb 03 July 1905 vol 148 c754
MR. CHARLES ALLEN (Gloucestershire, Stroud)

To ask the Secretary to the Board of Education whether his attention has been drawn to a violation of the conscience clause at a school in Broadway, in Worcestershire, in connection with a child named Johnston; and, if so, whether he proposes to take any action.

(Answered by Sir William Anson.) The Board have received a communication as to an alleged breach of the conscience clause from the managers of the school; but no complaint has reached the Board from the parents of the child in question. The Worcestershire Education Committee are at present making a thorough investigation of the case. At present there seems to be nothing to call for action on the part of the Board.
