HC Deb 03 July 1905 vol 148 c759
MR. THOMAS O'DONNELL

To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland why it is that Mr. Thomas Larkin, of Roscommon National School, whose character as a teacher is excellent, has got no increment since the new rules came into operation.

(Answered by Mr. Walter Long.) This teacher is in the first division of the first grade, and a very high standard of efficiency is required to warrant an increment of good service salary in this grade. Mr. Larking school has not maintained the necessary standard of efficiency for the past three years, and hence no increment has been granted.
