To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland if he would state what was the balance to credit of the Local Taxation (Ireland) Account on March 31st, 1905, as compared with that on the same date of preceding year; and what were the receipts and expenditure in connection with the same account for the year ending March 31st, 1905.

(Answered by Mr. Walter Long.) The credit balance on March 31st, 1905, was £221,478 15s. 3d., and on March 31st, 1904, it was £213,366s. 5d. The receipts for the year ending March 31st, 1905, amounted to £1,430,528 10s. 6d., and the expenditure to £1,422,411 11s. 8d.
