COLONEL SADLER (Middlesbrough)

To ask the President of the Local Government Board whether, in view of the fact that the charge made for certificates of death for members of trade unions is 2s. 7d. each, while the charge made for a member of a friendly society is 1s., he will consider the advisability of making the charge uniformly 1s. in both cases.

(Answered by Mr. Walter Long.) I will take note of this suggestion, but legislation would be necessary in order to give effect to it.
