HC Deb 27 February 1905 vol 141 c1302
MR. FIELD (Dublin, St. Patrick)

To ask the President of the Board of Trade whether he is aware that the patent humane cattle car, which was examined by the Board of Trade official and passed, was in use for some time, until the Railway Conference agreed to forbid its use; and, if so, whether he will cause an inquiry into the refusal of the railway companies to allow the use of this car.

(Answered by Mr. Gerald Balfour.) I must refer the hon. Member to the reply given to a similar Question on June 14th List year. I am unable to add to the Answer then given.
