MR. HERBERT ROBERTS (Denbighshire, W.)To ask the Secretary of State for India whether he is aware that the Viceroy intimated in his Budget speech on March 25th, 1903, that the question of the separation of judicial and executive functions in India would be dealt with at an early date; and whether he is now in a position to state what steps have been taken by the Government of India to carry out this change.
§ (Answered by Mr. Secretary Brodrick.) I have not received any information on the subject from the Government of India, but will ascertain from Lord Curzon how the matter stands.
