HC Deb 21 February 1905 vol 141 c779
MR. J. P. FARRELL (Longford, N.)

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether he is aware that on signing his agreement to purchase his farm, James Archbold, of Soran, county Longford, was guaranteed a supply of turbary on the Drummeel Bog; whether there is any record of this guarantee on the original agreement form; and, if so, will the turbary be now ordered to be given him.

MR. WYNDHAM

I am informed by the Land Commission that the holding in question was vested in Archbold in the terms of the purchase agreement, which provided for the right of cutting turf on certain parts of the lands of Drummeel, county Longford.
