To ask the Secretary of State for the Colonies what has been the total amount paid for the purchase of the South African railways under the Loan Act of 1903.

(Answered by Mr. Secretary Lyttelton.) Up to 30th November, 1904, the amount paid was £12,804,759. No later figures are available.
