HC Deb 10 August 1905 vol 151 c940
SIR HOWARD VINCENT (Sheffield, Central)

To ask the Secretary of State for War whether, having regard to the diversity of opinions as to the result of the conference on July 28th with commanding officers of Volunteers, he will reconsider the desirability of issuing, as a Parliamentary Paper, the names of those present, the questions put to them, and a transcript of the official shorthand report.

(Answered by Mr. Secretary Arnold-Forster.) I have already stated to the House the considerations which render it, in my opinion, undesirable to publish the report of the proceedings at the conference between the War Office and commanding officers of Volunteers. But for these considerations I should have been glad to take the action suggested by the hon. and gallant Member.
