§ MR. LEIF JONES (Westmoreland, Appleby)I beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he has yet received the promised report upon the case of cruelty to a native by a contractor at the Crœsus Gold Mine, Langlaagte, on May 8th last; and whether he can now inform the House what steps will be taken to prevent a repetition of such cruelty.
