HUNTI beg to ask the Secretary of State for War if he will explain why the Guards stationed at Windsor are not provided with the same protection to their tunics when on sentry as are the Line regiments, with the result that the tunics of the Guards get soiled and that they have to buy new ones out of their own money.
§ *MR. ARNOLD-FORSTERIt is not clear to what my hon. friend refers in the word "protection." The shoulder pad 375 was abolished throughout the service in 1903. I may add that the Guards receive a tunic annually and Line regiments every eighteen months.
