HC Deb 04 August 1905 vol 151 cc250-1
SIR HENRY FOWLER (Wolverhampton, E.)

To ask the Secretary to the Treasury whether directions have been given to the registrars of the local County Courts, directing that the printing and stationery in connection with the local County Courts, hitherto supplied by the local printers and stationers, shall be in the future supplied from London; whether he is aware that this change would take away from local printers and their employees a considerable amount of current work, and throw on their hands plant which would be practically useless to them for other work; and what are the reasons which induced the Treasury to issue these directions.

(Answered by Mr. Victor Cavendish.) I would refer the right hon. Gentleman to my Answer of yesterday† to the hon. † See page 63. Member for the Mansfield Division upon this subject.
