§ MR. MOONI beg to ask the Undersecretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether the Porte has now consented to accept Lord Lansdowne's financial scheme for Macedonia; and, if not, whether any steps are being taken to obtain that consent within a short time.
§ EARL PERCYThe Porte has not yet accepted the proposals jointly made to it by the Ambassadors of all the five Powers. As these proposals embody reforms which do not admit of modification or postponement, a further communication has been made in this sense to the Turkish Government.
