HC Deb 19 April 1905 vol 145 c597
MR. LOUGH (Islington, W.)

I beg to ask the Secretary to the Board of Trade whether the sittings of the Permanent Commission at Brussels have now terminated; whether the sugar legislation of any other countries has been condemned; and whether His Majesty's Government have resolved to take any action in pursuance of the decisions of the Convention.

THE PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY TO THE BOARD OF TRADE (Mr. BONAR LAW,) Glasgow, Black-friars

The sittings of the Permanent Sugar Commission have terminated: no countervailing duties have been fixed with respect to any additional countries; no action on the part of His Majesty's Government is therefore requisite.
