LEWISTo ask the Secretary to the Admiralty whether he can state the total amount realised by the sale of obsolete warships included in List No. 3 (except cases in which disclosure of the purchase money has been refused in the public interest); the total amount of the original cost of the warships; and the cost of repairing them during the past ten years.
(Answered by Mr. Pretyman.) The amounts realised by the sale of the obsolete vessels already disposed of have been 433 furnished in reply to the hon. Member's Questions of April 3rd and 4th †and the information asked for in the second and third parts of the Question will be found in the Return No. 74–1 recently issued.
