HC Deb 18 April 1905 vol 145 cc456-7
MR. JAMES O'KELLY (Roscommon, N.)

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether the terms of the sale of the estate of Mr. Arthur O'Connor, near Strokestown, county Roscommon, have been approved by the Estates Commissioners, and the partition of the turbary decided on; and, if not, when will the Estates Commissioners be in a position to come to a decision on the matter.

MR. WALTER LONG

Yes, Sir; the Commissioners have decided to sanction advances for the sale of a portion of this property, which, however, does not include the bog-land. The tenants, who agreed to purchase without the bog-land, have informed the Commissioners that they are willing to stand by their agreements.
