HC Deb 17 April 1905 vol 145 cc285-6
MR. WEIR

To ask the Lord-Advocate, in view of the extent of the area of the mainland of the combined counties of Ross and Cromarty and Inverness-shire, will he state whether the proposal to appoint one medical officer of health for the mainland of these counties has received the sanction of the Local Government Board for Scotland.

(Answered by Mr. Scott Dickson.) The Local Government Board do not favour the proposal, and have not therefore sanctioned the scheme.
