HC Deb 17 April 1905 vol 145 c281
MR. WEIR (Ross and Cromarty)

To ask the Lord-Advocate if he will state whether, in view of the continued evasion of Fishery Board by-laws by British-owned trawlers sailing under a foreign flag, the Secretary for Scotland has yet come to a decision with other Government Departments in regard to the recommendation of the Fishery Board that all ports of the United Kingdom should be closed against the landing of fish caught by trawlers in the Moray Firth.

(Answered by Mr. Scott Dickson.) The matter referred to by the hon. Member is still under consideration, and I am not yet in a position to make a statement as to the attitude of the Government.
