HC Deb 17 April 1905 vol 145 cc297-8
MR. NANNETTI

To ask the President of the Board of Agriculture whether the Irish Geological Survey, hitherto managed from this country, has been transferred to the Board of Agriculture in Ireland; and, if so, whether that portion of the Ordnance Survey at present engaged in the survey in Ireland could not also be transferred to the Board of Agriculture in Ireland.

(Answered by Mr. Ailwyn Fellowes.) The Answer to the first of the inquiries is in the affirmative. No change is contemplated in the existing arrangements for the conduct of the Ordnance Survey, which could not be split up in the manner proposed without additional expense and considerable loss of efficiency.
