HC Deb 17 April 1905 vol 145 c312
MR. SLOAN (Belfast, S.)

I beg to-ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland if he has received a resolution passed by the Kingstown Urban Council protesting against the Local Government Board in allowing the auditor to surcharge members of the council in connection with an address of welcome to His Majesty during his first visit to Ireland; and, if so, what action, does he intend taking in the matter.

MR. WALTER LONG

Yes, Sir. The resolution was received, and on Monday last a letter was written by my direction to the district council, a copy of which I have forwarded to my hon. friend.
