MR. WEIR (ROSS and Cromarty)

To ask the Lord - Advocate, having regard to the fact that in March of last year the late Secretary for Scotland was in communication with the President of the Board of Agriculture with a view to secure a reduction in the through rates charged for the carriage of fish from the North of Scotland to the southern markets, will he state the result of the correspondence, and the names of the railway companies which have been communicated with on the subject.
