HC Deb 13 April 1905 vol 145 cc72-4
MR. MURPHY

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland if he can state what action the Commissioners of National Education propose to take to supply the deficiency in the supply of expert instructors of science as pointed out by Mr. Connolly, inspector of the Killarney circuit, and several other inspectors of the Commissioners.

MR. ATKINSON

It has already been stated that the Head Organiser and two assistants will permanently continue the training of teachers in elementary science, and that arrangements have been made for similar training at local technical schools. Instruction for King's scholars is provided for in the training colleges.
