BENN (Devonport)I beg to ask the President of the Local Government Board, in regard to the Unemployed Relief Expenditure, London, whether any £ the borough councils adopted the suggestion of his predecessor to aid the fund out of the rates; and, if not, does he still propose to include in the forthcoming measure rate-aid for the relief of the unemployed.

I cannot undertake to state beforehand what may be the proposals in the measure referred to in the Question.
