HC Deb 13 April 1905 vol 145 cc82-3
MR. JOSEPH DEVLIN

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether his attention has been called to a resolution passed by the Belfast Merchants' and Manufacturers' Association at the meeting on March. 30th, with reference to the condition of the Belfast Courthouse; and, if so, will he say what action he proposes to take to carry out the alterations and improvements demanded by the Judges, jurors, and all concerned in the administration of the law in Belfast.

MR. ATKINSON

I have seen a newspaper report of the proceedings at the meeting referred to. The question of altering and improving the Courthouse is one for the local authorities, who are bound to make adequate arrangements for the administration of justice.
