§ MR. A. J. BALFOURsaid he did not wish to be absolutely pledged, but he thought the most convenient arrangement would be that they should take the Motion for the adjournment for the holidays on Wednesday afternoon, the Motion being so framed that the House at its rising at 7.30 p.m. should separate for the holidays. He should probably suggest that the House reassemble on Tuesday, May 2nd.
