§ MR. THOMAS O'DONNELLI beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether the Local Government Board hold with their auditor, Mr. Cyril Browne, that printing is a public work within the meaning of the Act; and, if so, will he state the authority on which they rely.
§ MR. ATKINSONUnder Article 33 (2) of the Procedure of Councils Order, 1899, contracts for printing are to be dealt with in the same manner as contracts for public works. The Board therefore hold, with their auditor, that Section 18 of the Local Government Act, 1902, dealing with public works, applies to printing contracts.
