§ MR. HUGH LAWTo ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether he is aware that a sum of £1,000 was provisionally allocated by the Irish Government (in agreement with the county council of Donegal) for the construction of a small pier at Falchorrib, county Donegal, and that the sum has been found insufficient; and whether he will recommend the addition, out of the unexpended balance of the Marine Works Act, of such money as may be required to carry out the work in a satisfactory manner.
(Answered by Mr. Walter Long.) The facts are as stated. It has been ascertained that works at Falchorrib, to be effective, would cost a sum greatly in excess of that mentioned. I am unable, as at present advised, to give any undertaking in the matter.
