HC Deb 04 April 1905 vol 144 c308
CAPTAIN NORTON (Newington, W.)

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for War if he can state whether the firm of H. Lotery and Co. hold any Government contracts; whether the tender forms have a labour schedule of prices; and whether these prices are being paid.

MR. BROMLEY DAVENPORT

This firm holds a Government contract. The tender form does not contain a labour schedule of prices. The usual wages clause is included in the contract under which the firm is bound to pay the wages generally accepted as current for competent workmen in the district where the work is carried out.
