HC Deb 03 April 1905 vol 144 c126
CAPTAIN NORTON (Newington, W.)

I beg to ask the Postmaster-General whether the memorial of the tracing staff, Accountant-General's Department, forwarded last November, is under consideration; and, having regard to the fact that this class has only received one increase of 2s. per week in their maximum pay since its institution in 1875, whether he can give his favourable consideration to their case, in view of the findings of the Bradford Committee respecting the pay of the larger classes of postal employees and the late Postmaster-General's promise to deal with the smaller classes, in the light of the standard set up by this Committee.

THE POSTMASTER-GENERAL (Lord STANLEY,) Lancashire, Westhoughton

The hon. Member will observe from the Memorandum which was furnished to the House a few days ago that the officers to whom he refers have now received an improvement of pay.
