HC Deb 03 April 1905 vol 144 cc98-9
MR. BILL (Staffordshire, Leek)

To ask the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether the rules affecting the use of the commercial mole at Gilbraltar have been decided upon; and whether representatives of the Chamber of Commerce, or of the mercantile community generally, will be included in the board of management.

(Answered by Mr. Secretary Lyttelton.) A scheme for the administration of the commercial mole at, Gibraltar has been drawn up with the assistance of four members of the mercantile body. It provides for full and direct Government control, but the Government will accept for consideration suggestions from accredited representatives of the Exchange Committee, the Chamber of Commerce, and the general trading community on matters of details affecting them as customers.
