HC Deb 19 May 1904 vol 135 c364
MR. MOONEY

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland if his attention has been called to the arrest and remand of a man named Ferns, otherwise Brown, on the charge of stealing two bicycles in Dublin, and having sold them to two members of the Royal Irish Constabulary at Rathcoole, county Dublin; and whether, in view of the fact that this is a case of great importance, and as the police themselves are concerned in the matter, he will take the prosecution out of their hands, and have the Crown legally represented in Court at the next hearing so that the full facts may be elicited.

MR. WYNDHAM

The Crown will be legally represented in this case on the hearing of the remanded charges.
